Night House Studio transformed San Francisco’s historic Gantry Crane with a large-scale light and video installation honoring the shipyard workers and surrounding community who shaped the area over generations. Projected moving light and video imagery illuminated the towering structure, accompanied by an original musical score that evoked the labor, resilience, and collective memory rooted in the site. Visitors will be invited to a more formal rendering of this installing this coming October 2025 and will be invited to gather on the tarmac to witness the piece, which aims to bring people together in reflection and celebration while drawing renewed attention to this iconic industrial landmark on the edge of the bay.
